The Name
CIVITAS isn't just a word for a city, but for the people who make it
In Latin, urbs denotes the city as a place — its streets and buildings. CIVITAS speaks of people, of citizens, belonging, and the community that gives a space life.
Because a house without people is just space. A table without people is just an object.
That's why CIVITAS doesn't start from material, form, or technology. It starts from the life that happens around them, from people, their relationships, and the moments that make a space a home in the first place.
Manifesto
Every piece that leaves the workshop must answer one question: "Will it still make sense in the room it stands in, ten years from now?" If the answer is anything other than a clear yes, the piece does not leave.
