Cookie Policy.

An overview of what data CIVITAS stores in your browser, and why.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember certain information — such as preferences, previous visits, or usage statistics.

Data we always store

Aside from analytics cookies (Google Analytics, described below), which are set only with your consent, the site stores only technically necessary data in your browser (so-called local/session storage), used exclusively to:

  • remember that the intro animation has already been shown, so it doesn't repeat on every page load within the same visit;
  • remember your cookie choice (accepted or rejected), so we don't ask you again on every future visit.

This data does not identify you personally and is not shared with anyone.

Google Fonts

The site uses fonts loaded from Google's servers for faster, more consistent text rendering. When a font loads, your browser establishes a connection to Google's servers, which transmits your IP address — without setting a cookie.

Analytics

CIVITAS uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic and improve the user experience. Google Analytics sets cookies (e.g. _ga and _ga_*) that collect statistical data about site usage — number of visits, visit duration, pages viewed, and similar. Your IP address is anonymized before processing.

These cookies are set only after you explicitly accept them via the cookie notice at the bottom of the screen — never automatically, and never before your consent. If you reject or later change your choice, Google Analytics does not run.

You can learn more about how Google processes data in Google's Privacy Policy.

Managing your choice

You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings — the cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit.
