CIVITAS LÁPIS
CLIFF
A side table cast as one mass: a thick, fractured slab carried by a cylindrical drum. Hand-finished fiber concrete, built for a home that won't be renovated every seven years.
Design Philosophy
CLIFF is two gestures, not two parts. A slab thick enough to read as mass, set on a drum wide enough to disappear beneath it. The fracture at the slab's edge is not drawn — it is broken by hand, so the line belongs to the piece alone.
The proportion between drum and slab is held constant across every size CIVITAS builds in this language — the detail that keeps a small side table and a future large table reading as one family.

Indoor / Outdoor
One material, two rooms.
In Bone or Stone Grey, CLIFF reads as an interior object — beside a sofa, in a bedroom, under a window. In Sand or Travertine, the same form moves outdoors: terrace, poolside, a covered loggia. The concrete is freeze-resistant and sealed against weather in either case.
Every Piece Is Signed
A monogram, a serial number, a certificate.
Each CLIFF carries a brushed-metal plate on its underside: the CV monogram, model name, year, and serial number — for example, CV-LAP-26-0001. A signed certificate of authenticity ships with the piece, recording finish, dimensions, and the date it left the workshop.
Customization
A different dimension. A finish outside the standard six. CLIFF can be built to a drawing made for one room only.
